As an All-on-4® surgeon and restorative dentist with Next Smile Sydney, Dr Mel combines advanced surgical training with a calm, caring approach to help patients restore both function and confidence.
She has a particular interest in full-mouth dental implant rehabilitation and oral surgery, and has developed her surgical skills under the guidance and training of Dr Larry Benge, senior clinical board member and active surgeon across Next Smile Australia’s All-on-4® clinics.
For Mel, full-arch treatment is about much more than replacing teeth. It is about getting to know patients throughout their treatment journey, understanding what matters to them and helping them feel comfortable and supported along the way.
Her approach is centred on listening, attention to detail and creating a relaxed environment where patients feel at ease.

For Mel, one of the most rewarding parts of her work is seeing what happens after treatment, not simply when a patient sees their new teeth for the first time, but when they begin to laugh, eat and smile with confidence again.
She has seen how significant that change can be.
One patient who had hoped that his new teeth would help him feel more confident told Mel that he wanted to find a girlfriend. When he returned 12 months later for routine maintenance, he arrived with news that he had not only found someone, but had proposed and they were getting married.
