Dr Daniel Abbondanza is an experienced implant dentist and Lead Surgeon at Next Smile Australia, with more than 20 years of experience in dentistry and a long-standing focus on implant dentistry, aesthetic rehabilitation and full-arch treatment.
He has been utilising advanced surgical techniques, including the All-on-4® treatment concept, since 2007 and has extensive experience in the planning and delivery of complex implant rehabilitation.
Daniel completed a Masters program in Implant Dentistry through UCLA in 2009, graduating top of his class. His areas of particular interest include reconstructing hard and soft tissues prior to implant surgery, computer-guided surgery and the integration of aesthetics with implant dentistry.
As Owner and Lead Surgeon at Next Smile Perth, Daniel is passionate about combining clinical experience, advanced technology and personalised treatment planning to provide the best solution for each individual patient.

Advancing Implant Dentistry Through Education & Research
Daniel’s commitment to implant dentistry extends beyond his clinical work. Throughout his career, he has contributed to professional education through mentoring, lecturing and academic teaching.
He has lectured internationally in Europe and Asia on topics related to cosmetic and implant dentistry and has previously held the position of Adjunct Senior Lecturer in the Division of Regenerative Biology and Medicine at the University of Western Australia.
Daniel has also mentored clinicians through Nobel Biocare programs focused on computer-guided surgery, sharing his experience in the application of digital technologies to implant treatment.
His research interests include bone metabolism and tissue regeneration, as well as 3D printing and its clinical integration.
For Daniel, continuing education and innovation are an important part of providing patients with increasingly precise and considered treatment options.
