Forever passionate about the art and business of dentistry, Dr Larry Benge has become one of the nation’s most respected dental surgeons in the proven Gold Standard All–on–4^® treatment concept. Dr Larry Benge has over 40 years of experience in dentistry, and his practice has an emphasis on reconstructive, aesthetic and implant dentistry, specifically the All-on-4^® treatment concept of full-arch restoration.

He graduated from The University of Melbourne in 1980 with first-class honours in Dental Science, having first completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours at Monash University.

Before partnering with Dr Paulo Malo to bring the All-on-4^® treatment philosophy to Australia and founding Next Smile Sydney, Dr Larry Benge was the principal at Bond Street Dental in Melbourne.

With over 40 years in dentistry, Dr Larry Benge has lectured, published, and studied locally and internationally. He is well-regarded and respected by his peers and is the lead surgeon and clinical authority for Next Smile Australia clinics.

Dr Lauren Fowler has worked alongside Dr Larry Benge since 2016, with a focus on All-on-4^® treatment and prosthodontic rehabilitation. She graduated from Adelaide University in 2013 and brings her skill and passion for dentistry into every aspect of her work.

Dr Fowler has trained extensively both domestically and internationally in prosthodontics and the All-on-4^® procedure, including with Professor Paulo Malo, the inventor of All-on-4^®, and at the University of California, Los Angeles. She has restored hundreds of All-on-4^® full mouth rehabilitations at Next Smile Melbourne and now leads the Melbourne team alongside Dr Benge in both prosthetics and surgery. In 2018, she was awarded the youngest Digital Smile Design Master worldwide at New York University and in 2019, Lauren was accepted into the University of Melbourne Surgical Implant Dentistry Master Class program.

She is a Key Opinion Leader and speaker for Nobel Biocare and Philips Sonicare, involved in clinical research, and regularly lectures around Australia. She is also a member of the Australian Dental Association.

Lauren's main passion outside dentistry is travelling to new destinations and trying the local cuisine.

Dr. Fiachra Maher is a dedicated and skilled dentist with a robust educational and professional background. He earned his Dental Science degree from Trinity College Dublin in 2019 and further advanced his qualifications by achieving membership in the Faculty of Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2020.

Previously, Dr Fiachra held roles as a Clinical Supervisor at Dublin Dental University Hospital, where he supervised senior dental students in oral surgery clinics and delivered seminars. His experience extends to serving as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at St. James’s Hospital and Dublin Dental University Hospital, where he managed complex cases involving head and neck cancer, trauma, and orthognathic procedures.

Outside of dentistry, Dr Fiachra has been a passionate hurling player and captain for Clontarf GAA Club and remains engaged with the Irish Dental Association and Australian Dental Association.

Dr Simon Javadi is a highly experienced dentist with a strong clinical focus on implant and restorative dentistry. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Melbourne in 2014, following earlier studies in medical radiations and biomedical science. Since graduating, Dr Javadi has worked across a range of private practices and has undertaken further training in implant surgery, restorative implantology, CBCT interpretation, and laser safety. He continues to expand his knowledge in full-arch rehabilitation, including the All-on-4^® treatment concept. Dr Javadi is known for his calm, personable manner and his commitment to delivering quality, long-term outcomes for his patients.

Peter Kerfoot is a dental prosthetist with 20 years of experience in the dental industry.

Peter qualified as a dental technician from Edinburgh Telford College, Scotland, working in the NHS system before moving to Australia in 2010. Peter has worked closely with Dr Larry Benge since 2011, completing thousands of All-on-4^® appliances for Larry’s patients.

Peter qualified as a Dental Prosthetist from RMIT in 2020 and has been an integral part of Larry’s team in providing patients with the best quality of care. Peter’s attention to detail ensures a high aesthetic and function for all All-on-4^® appliances.

His cheeky humour and accent are a winner with patients, and patients and staff always appreciate his knowledge and caring nature.

Peter is a proud father of two and is passionate about football and all things Scottish.

Laura is one of our Oral Health Therapists here at Next Smile Melbourne ready to help you maintain a wonderful and healthy smile! Laura graduated from La Trobe University Bendigo in 2015 and since then has worked in a broad range of dental settings. This has provided her a wealth of knowledge in many aspects of Oral Health and Laura has a keen interest in maintenance and hygiene for patients with dental implants. 

Outside of work Laura enjoys playing a good game of tennis and spending time walking her little cavoodle Daisy!

Mark is a highly skilled and dedicated Oral Health Therapist who brings a wealth of experience and a patient-centered approach to our team of clinicians.

Fluent in both English and Arabic, Mark has a natural ability to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds and age groups. His extensive expertise spans general and pediatric dentistry, including hygiene and check-ups, restorative treatments, and implant care and maintenance, and treatment planning to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Mark has completed advanced training in areas such as adult and anterior restorative dentistry, atraumatic tooth extraction, and periodontal health management. He is also proficient in modern dental technologies, radiography, and comprehensive treatment planning.

Mark looks forward to caring for our valued patients and supporting them with achieving optimum oral health.

Karim is an Oral Health Therapist who graduated from Charles Sturt University with a special interest in pediatric and restorative dentistry. 

He also holds a Dental technician degree, completed in 2019. Karim enjoys all aspects of dentistry and aims to empower patients to overcome their dental anxieties, in a safe and comfortable environment. Karim is fluent in both Arabic and English.

In his spare time, he enjoys catching up with friends and family, playing soccer and racing go-karts.

Marcia graduated from The University of Melbourne and is known for her gentle, caring, and patient-centered approach. She creates a calm and reassuring environment, making even the most nervous patients feel at ease in the dental chair. Her bright personality and dedication to patient care have made her a favorite among our patients. 

With a passion for all aspects of dentistry, Marcia has a special interest in periodontics (gum and bone health) and aesthetic dentistry. She stays at the forefront of the field by continuously expanding her knowledge and skills through ongoing courses and conferences, ensuring her patients receive the highest standard of care.

Outside of work, Marcia enjoys baking, painting, and practicing pilates, which she credits for keeping her balanced, happy, and energized. Originally from Indonesia, she grew up in Australia and loves being part of the local community.

Maggie joined Next Smile over four years ago, and the team has never looked back. Her kind and nurturing nature towards the patients is invaluable. She takes time out of her day to meet and greet patients to ensure a smooth and comfortable journey throughout their entire treatment. Maggie will assist with any dental questions and puts the patients first 24/7. She has brought glamour to the surgery as she has a passion for fashion. Maggie also loves cooking, travelling and looking after her family with beautiful meals and wine.

Marnie is the Clinical Manager at Next Smile Melbourne. With over a decade of experience in the dental industry, she is passionate about helping patients achieve their best smiles in a welcoming and professional environment.

She’s also a dedicated dog lover, cherishing moments spent with her beloved pups.

As the Practice Administration Manager at Next Smile Melbourne, Natahlia brings over eight years of experience in the dental industry to ensure smooth operations and positive patient experiences.
